Just some RP intros that involve TB/X.

Title: New World
Fandom: X/1999
Rating: PG
Character(s): Subaru, Kamui mentioned
Word Count: 558 words
Summary: Subaru worries about Kamui.
Notes: Doesn't really go anywhere because it's an intro, but I think this came out well. For a Subaru x Kamui RP.

One of the most irritable bits of the entire situation boiled down to Subaru feeling misplaced. This fateful time, however, it was not because his enemy reserved the encouragement to murder him Neither was it because the bundle of energy bogging at the creases of his conscious an insatiable depression. No, this time...

He could not remember where to hang the exquisite picture.

The Imonoyama mansion was not a place he had joyfully stored in memory. A handful of times he had visited here, but Subaru had never stayed permanently. Well, until later. Sort of. Even then he had not committed the finer details of the house to etchings of hued colors and real lines. Most of the time he had passed by like a grey, rippling midnight shadow whenever he returning to the "home."

Nobody ever asked. Except...

The picture had been hung in the middle of the hallway. Right.

Subaru concentrated for a brief moment, closing his eyes. A picture slowly materialized and gathered in a square shape on the wall. Sunlit rays reflected off the picture's peaceful, blue-green waters gently licking at a sandy shore. It was one of those generic Pacific Ocean shots framing a tropical island—a minimalist piece of artwork, maybe, but perhaps that was how he remembered the saturation of dry yellow striking innocent blue.

Why couldn't he be there, too?

As Subaru's finger tentatively touched the small palm tree in the middle, the picture convulsed in grey tones. Still very unstable. He instantly dropped his hand, lifeless and almost stung by an invisible force, back to his side. The picture flowed back to its former glory as if mocking his spiritual presence.

An electrical current ran straight through his chest. It did not hurt, yet Subaru winced, caught off guard by the sudden intrusion.

The swift sensation was similar to how the Dragons of Heaven were alerted to their Kamui's distress. But this was an uplifting sort of chime instead of a dreaded vision, and he could tell Kamui was either slipping out of sleep or nearing an awakening point. He blinked and glanced at the wooden door further down the hallway; the sight of Kanui's door was much akin to an omen awaiting to be unsealed.

Subaru had no idea how to deal with the inconvenience bottling up the affair. Kamui was likely still asleep, exhausted and shaken by the previous events with Fuuma. Surely he had time to form some lie and pitch it through his teeth.

Soon enough he found himself leaning on the door to Kamui's room. Ideas began to tumble into his head, albeit without the special flair of excitement he hoped for. He stared at the white ceiling tiles, lost. Subaru was not prepared for the consequences of a selfish wish. Which side was he on, anyway? Was this another betrayal? But if this was some lowly betrayal of misguided understanding, to whom? Betraying himself, his feelings, would have been impossible. Not anymore.

Subaru lightly kicked the door with the sole of his shoe. He did not notice how loud the sound really was while ignoring everything else besides himself. Juggling past the sparse ideas coming to fruition was not helping him in the least. Worst of all, he didn't have much time to concoct a decent lie; Kamui would search for answers eventually.

Title: A Visit
Fandom: Tokyo Babylon
Rating: PG
Character(s): Seishirou, Subaru mentioned
Word Count: 286 words
Summary: Seishirou visits Subaru.
Notes: Also goes nowhere. But this was for the first TB RP I had for Seishirou. Consequentially, it also stops at a doorway. Meant for SeiSub.

Subaru had seemed rather happy during their phone conversation. Truth be told, Seishirou particularly didn't have a guess as to what the reason was for his mood lift. A number of events could have occurred during an outing to a successful job or a redundant day while attending classes at CLAMP Campus. Hokuto could have refrained from dressing him up in embarrassingly elegant outfits for one afternoon. Subaru was a very easy nut to decipher, though. Seishirou did not have to do much guesswork to deduce he was thinking over another person.

It didn't matter because Subaru would clue him in soon enough. After a day's work at the clinic and dealing with worried patients and their rambunctious pets, Seishirou wanted to sit down on a comfy armchair and listen to someone else talk about their day over tea. Subaru was a calmer distraction from it all. And that's why, above all, he had brought along a simple white bag containing a cake from one of the local bakeries. Subaru most likely wouldn't eat much out of politeness or a lack of hunger, but Seishirou himself was craving a sweet today.

Seishirou stepped back from the familiar apartment door, having just knocked on the front a few times. Since he had come straight from the clinic, he hadn't really bothered to change out of his work clothes. Frowning, he reached upward and tugged at his tie a bit to the side, trying to adjust it properly. Well, no matter what it was, Subaru talking to Seishirou nearly each day in the evening wasn't anything out of the blue. Still, something quite exciting must have happened if Subaru had decided to ask Seishirou over for a chat.
